I am an integrative counsellor. In therapy I can help you explore your concerns through listening, asking questions and using creative interventions. It could be you are feeling anxious and on edge, having difficulty relaxing or switching your mind off. Maybe you are feeling low with no enjoyment in life and feel down about yourself and lacking confidence. It could be you are having problems in your family or personal relationships despite having tried different things. You may feel caught in cycles of thought or behaviour. I have a special interest in working with clients who have dyslexia.
As an integrative therapist, I combine different counselling approaches depending on what you bring and your hopes for counselling.
I have enjoyed seeing changes in clients such as: a reduction in their anxiety, taking part in activities they previously felt unable to do, developing new ways of thinking about or interacting with family members or friends, feeling more confident, developing a compassionate inner voice and making changes rather than feeling stuck.
Training and experience
I have experience of working with faith within the counselling sessions and am familiar with 12 step programs. I also have experience of working with clients who were were at boarding school. I have a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills and Theory and a Level 5 Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling (distinction) with Heart & Mind Training.
