As an Integrative Counsellor, I am deeply committed to supporting my clients on their journey towards emotional well-being and personal growth. This integrative approach allows me to adapt to each client's evolving needs, whether they are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, or life transitions.
My approach to therapy is holistic, combining techniques from various therapeutic modalities to tailor each session to the unique needs of my clients and what they bring. I believe that no single approach is sufficient to address the complexities of human experience; hence, I draw upon a diverse set of skills and theoretical frameworks to provide comprehensive and personalised care.
For clients who have a faith system, I draw on Christian values to guide the therapeutic process, using spiritual reflection to help clients find meaning and comfort through their faith. A belief in a higher being can help provide a sense of purpose, comfort, and guidance in many areas of life, offering a framework for meaning, especially during difficult times.
I believe that everyone has the capacity for healing and personal growth when provided with the right support. My role as a counsellor is to facilitate this process by creating a safe, nurturing space where clients can explore their feelings, gain insight into their own experiences, and develop effective coping strategies. I aim to empower my clients to take control of their lives and achieve lasting change.
Training and experience
I have a Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling (Level 5) with Heart and Mind. I have professional membership with the BACP (MBACP) and ACC (ACC Registered Counsellor).
As an integrative therapist, a person-centred approach is at the core of my work and I use psychodynamic, solutions focused brief therapy (SFBT), cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) modalities as informed by my client’s own unique requirements.
