Heart & Mind Training offers professionally accredited counselling training programmes underpinned by a Christian worldview. Our qualifications are recognised by CPCAB (Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body) and can be counted towards the training element for professional counsellor accreditation with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or the Association of Christians in Counselling (ACC).
This foundational training course provides a unique opportunity to study a recognised and accredited course from a Christian perspective. The 'Certificate in Counselling Skills & Theory' teaches students core counselling skills and strategies and introduces them to a variety of counselling models used today. In addition, the course provides an overview of some of the common psychological issues encountered when supporting others. Successful completion of this programme allows progression onto the 'Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling' qualification or alternatively, it can be used as a stand alone accredited counselling skills qualification.
Our diploma offers training in a variety of recognised counselling models, as well as skills development, understanding the professional and ethical frameworks for counselling and gives graduates the opportunity to progress towards becoming competent professional counsellors within both the Christian community and wider world.
The qualification is sufficient, with further practice hours, to gain accreditation as a qualified counsellor with the Association of Christians in Counselling (ACC) UK, and/or the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).
